Yesterday Scott and I went to our first Jeep type event. It was the Dallas Truck & Jeep Fest put on by 4WP. It showcased products like custom trucks and Jeeps, product demonstrations, factory direct pricing on truck and Jeep accessories and parts along with hourly giveaways. One of my favorite parts was that the majority of the jeeps there were the jeeps people were using. You could get an idea of what they used their jeep for and a bit of the owner's personality.
The Location
The Truck & Jeep Fest took place in Market Hall off of I35E, in Dallas. From what I've seen it takes place in the same location yearly which is down the street from a 4WP store. Visit the Dallas Market Hall website for directions, facility maps, parking information, and local accommodations.

What We Discovered
I'll be honest, I was expecting the "Jeep Fest" to be more like the Progressive Motorcycle Show we go to every year and it was not. That being said we had fun and have a better idea of some things we want for our Jeep. Scott and I even found a set of wheels that we both thought would be perfect for our Jeep.
It was fun to look around and see so many different options for customizing our future Jeep. I thought going to the show might help pacify me a bit but instead, it simply made me want our Jeep sooner.
Research
I took down a lot of vendor information for items such as bumpers, wenches, wheels, lights and more. I'm looking forward to diving in and doing some comparison shopping to make sure we get the parts and accessories that will best meet our needs for what we plan to do in our Jeep. After all, that's what really matters. Someone can pitch you a great product but if it isn't designed to do what you have planned it's useless to you.
